Most trade laminators will not show you a price

We surveyed the trade laminating houses competing for this exact search in August 2026. The pattern was almost universal: capability lists, film types, sheet sizes, machine specs — and not one number you could put in an estimate. Pricing was a phone call, every time, on every job.

That is fine when you have a week. It is useless at 4pm when you are quoting a job you need to win by morning, and it is why estimators keep defaulting to the retail counter down the road at three times the money.

So our whole ladder is above, on the page, no email required. Six sizes, four volume breaks. You can price a laminating line into a bid right now without speaking to anyone. When you do call, it is to schedule the run, not to find out what it costs.

What a wholesale laminator actually changes for you

You stop buying a laminator. A production laminator, film inventory in every gauge, and somebody trained to run it is a five-figure decision that only pays back at volume you may not have yet. Sending sheets out converts that capital line into a per-sheet cost that scales down as you grow.

You stop declining work. The job you turn away because it needs 10 mil and you stock 3 is a job your customer takes somewhere that does both. That somewhere then quotes the print next time.

Your overflow stops being a crisis. When your own laminator is down or the run is bigger than your window, an outside line is capacity you did not have to hire.

How the handoff works

  1. Call the specs in. Quantity, flat size, stock and finish. Not sure on gauge? Tell

us what the piece has to survive — a menu that gets wiped down, a tag that lives outdoors — and we will spec it against the ladder above.

  1. Ship us printed sheets. Flat on a skid or in cartons. You keep the print. We only

do the finishing, which is the whole point: we are not positioned to take the rest of the job off you.

  1. We laminate and finish. Gloss or matte, 1.5 to 10 mil, up to 27 inches wide. Round

corners, hole punch and slitting happen in the same pass and are priced in pennies, not as a surcharge.

  1. Blind ship out. Your packing slip, your branding, direct to your customer if you

want. If a seal fails inside 90 days we reprint free and pay freight both ways — send a photo, keep the boxes.

FAQs (emit as FAQPage schema from this list — do not retype)

Do you sell laminating direct to the public? Not into your accounts. Trade work — printers, brokers, sign shops — is the business, and we quote it at trade rates that only make sense in volume. When a walk-in wants one menu laminated we tell them a retail counter is genuinely the better answer for them, because at one piece it is.

Do I have to print with you as well? No, and most trade customers do not. You print, we laminate. We do run wholesale colour printing if you want the two bought together, but the laminating line stands alone and is priced alone.

Is there a minimum order? The pricing is built around volume, so it starts working around 100 pieces and improves at every break above that. We will run smaller, but below roughly 25 pieces a retail counter beats us on convenience and we will say so rather than take the job.

How do you price against Staples or FedEx Office? Their published walk-in rates are $1.99 and $2.75 for a letter sheet, with no volume break at any quantity. Ours is $0.89 at 250 and $0.58 at 1,000 for the same sheet. The film is the same film — the difference is that they run a counter and we run a production line.
